Get Involved! Join the Alumni Council.
The Delaware Valley University Alumni Council is a leadership group of alumni volunteers. The Council supports the University’s overall alumni engagement and philanthropic efforts. We're looking for interested alumni from a diverse representation of class years and programs, geographic regions, and interests to join the Alumni Council as representatives this fall. Alumni Council representatives serve for a three-year term and are elected by the alumni at large.

Please note that the information you enter on this form will be used for the official ballot, so please fill out the form carefully and thoroughly. A member of the Alumni Council’s Nominating, Membership and Credentials Committee will contact you to further discuss your interest in the Council and the expectations of members. After these discussions, interested and qualified nominees will be placed on an electronic ballot that will be sent to all alumni for voting.
In addition to representative positions, the position of Alumni Council President is also up for nominations this fall and is open to current members of the Alumni Council. More information about the role of the President can be found on the.

The Alumni Events Committee plans and oversees events as named in the three subcommittees.ÌýThe Awards Subcommittee participates in the selection and naming of the Alumni Council Awards.

- Identifies and leads support of in-person fundraising opportunities
- ÌýOffers peer-to peer support through calling/postcard campaigns
- Responsible for ensuring 100% committee giving

- Approves committee budget requests and tracks council expenditures
- Reviews funding requests as needed throughout the year
- Oversees elections and onboarding of new members
- Ensures members are fulfilling council obligations and leads disciplinary action as needed
- Develops and maintains a succession pipeline for council membership and leadership

- Plans and implements engagement opportunities between alumni and current students
- Collaborates with campus partners to co-host events, and provide alumni resources as able
- Recognizes excellence in students through the selection of awardees for annual scholarships
- Reads and commends students via application process
- Sets strategic initiatives to mirror the University strategic plan
- Coordinates with other committees to ensure that Council goals are aligned with University needs and policies

It is an honor to be representing DelVal as President of the Alumni Council. DelVal has instilled in us, important lessons, and values that we, alumni use every day.
